About this site
Make it make sense is a blog where I write each week about people, institutions and happenings that are not making sense to me. I try to be fun and informative while still hopefully making a point.
About me

One and a half score and seven years ago I was born in Fargo. As a baby I modeled on billboards and in commercials. I quickly grew out of my good looks and made my way through the Fargo public schools system while eating as much Mexican Village salsa as my family could afford. My summers were spent at a lake cabin near Dent, MN. Once I graduated high school I went to college at the University of Minnesota in what was known as the "Brewster-Kill era", where I studied business. After learning the virtues of the matching principle, compound interest and going from Good To Great, I moved to Chicago and started a management consulting career. I eventually specialized in the travel industry and worked with many of the world's largest hotel companies and airlines. Ten years and 30 countries later I had lived enough of that life, so I quit my job and walked the earth for a few years. Then I suffered a brain injury and here I am. I live in Minneapolis. I have a dog named Banks – she's the best (see below).
